Reach for the Stars
Tonight, I cut Kat’s hair (it’s unbelievably sassy and fitting. I’ve never seen the full fringe look so hot) and painted her nails. To celebrate her new look, we went and got ice cream and chatted with the cute man at the corner shop. He knows us because we’re probably his most frequent customers. Then we talked about passions and dreams with Luke Brown and Silvs. Fairly standard night, but now I feel like we can change the world. I’m dreaming about the ways that I will use my passion for beauty to change girls’ lives and my future family that is going to be multi-cultural and full of love. I’m thinking of all the lives that have been stricken by poverty and that are going to be impacted by Luke Brown*. Silvs will be rockin’ a lab coat while doing cancer research. And my deary Kat loving every one she comes into contact with and being ordained after following her seemingly out of reach dreams.
My goal for 2011 is simple. I’m dreaming big and taking risks for the sake of seeing those dreams come true. Why not? “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” And ain’t that the truth.
*He has one of those names that has to be said in full. Not Luke, not Brown. Luke Brown.
